The Career that Wasn't
If you would have asked me when I was 22 what I was going to do with my life I would have told you that I was going to go to Washington and spend my life working to change the world. Or, at the very least, the United States. In particular I wanted to change policy and laws related to women's rights. I still have days when I can picture myself lobbying for women's rights instead of at home changing diapers. Even so, I'm pretty damn happy changing the world through my kids, not to mention getting to spend time creating art through photography. I'd still like to find a way to advocate for women, even if only on a local level. Now if I could only find more than 5 minutes to figure out how I am going to do that..........

Yeah, well, I'm already on my second or possibly third career (if you count writing, which hasn't quite panned out into a career yet), or maybe fourth, if you count wedding photography assistant! There's lots of time, and as an experienced mama you'll have so much more perspective about women's rights than as a twenty-something idealistic young kitten!
Well Shana, you never know. Maybe your dream is being played out before your eyes. Who knows where your kids will end up because you where there for them every steop of the way.
