Busy, busy!

::yawn:: We've been really, ::yawn:: busy this weekend. ::yawn:: Least to day, we are tired, and just starting to recover from the weekend, particularly from Friday.

Friday was filled with 4th of July festivities including the annual Superior 4th of July parade, a gathering at my folk's house that included relatives from the North Dakota this year, and we ended our day of celebration by watching the Duluth fireworks display from a location that I would not recommend. (I wish we wouldn't have listened to the recommendation of someone else on this location either. Le sigh.)

The kids all went to sleep easily Friday night, but God forbid they opt to sleep in a bit in the morning! Poor Scott was up with the kids by 7 AM on Saturday and I somehow managed to sleep until around 8 AM. We spent most of the day in a haze yesterday and were sorely lacking in patience due to our lack of sleep. Not to mention that Scott is coming down with some sort of infection in his neck, so he feels like a big pile of dog doo-doo. He did somehow manage to get a bunch of work done around the yard and house yesterday, all while I laid on the couch and occasionally let him know how cool he is for being willing to actually get something other than lounging done.

Today hasn't been any better and this morning I woke up feeling like I had not slept in days. Of course, Scott mopped the floor while I again laid on the couch and I begged him to get take-out for lunch, as I was not in the mindset or mood to cook. I am finally feeling half human again after getting to take a nap while Scott chased the kids around outside. He is getting a nice nap in now and I am hoping to let him sleep for a good long while due to his neck infection. Poor guy.

I've decided that I am going to blog about my weight loss journey elsewhere, so I'm not whining about that struggle for all the world to see, since I do plenty of other whining as it is. I'll email my weight loss blog address to my weight loss buddies once I have it going, and if you too would like the address just email me and let me know.
