Yesterday Gwen brought home a permission slip for an upcoming field trip that we needed to sign and return with her to school. Scott read over it and signed it, and left it on the counter for Gwen. Awhile later I heard Gwen in the kitchen sounding obviously upset about something. I asked her what was wrong and she came into the living room where we had the following conversation.
Me: So, what's wrong?
Gwen: You weren't supposed to scribble on my paper!
M: What? I didn't scribble on your paper, Gwen.
G: Well, someone did and you weren't supposed to do that.
M: Where did someone scribble on your paper?
G: (turning the paper towards me and pointing to the scribble)
Right here! And my teachers are going to be mad!
M: (Sees that the "scribble" is Scott's signature, which frankly, is pretty bad.)
*Hysterical laughter*
